Prakhya Dental has been looking after Mid North Coast families since the 1980s. What started as a single practice in Kempsey has grown to three clinics — each one built around the same idea: that good dentistry should be calm, honest, and completely at your pace.

The practice has been serving Mid North Coast families for over 40 years. Dr Phani Prakhya established the Kempsey clinic in the 1980s, and the Port Macquarie and Taree locations followed over subsequent decades.
Are all three clinics run by the same team?
The same clinical standards and philosophy apply across all three locations. Dr Phani and Dr Navya Prakhya oversee care across the group, supported by Dr Mark Brisley in Port Macquarie and Deborah De Jong as oral health therapist
Do you see patients with dental anxiety?
Yes — regularly. The team is experienced working with anxious patients. Appointments move at your pace, explanations are given before anything happens, and you’re always in control of how the visit unfolds.
What age groups do you treat?
We see patients of all ages — from toddlers attending their first check-up through to elderly patients with complex needs. Children’s dental care under the Medicare CDBS is available at all three clinics.
Do you offer HICAPS on-the-spot claims?
Yes. All three clinics process HICAPS claims at the time of your appointment, so you only pay the gap (if any) on the day.
